Anxiety Therapy Austin, TX.

A therapy practice that takes pride in creating a supportive environment for you to process your anxiety, alter your negative thought patterns, and improve your self-confidence.

My name is Alicia and I specialize in helping individuals navigate their debilitating anxiety, process their emotions of inadequacy, and improve their self-wroth through evidence based therapy virtually across all of Texas and in-person in Austin, TX. I work with those who are seeking to build a deeper awareness and understanding of themselves. I create an environment for my clients to feel comfort and belongingness as if they were meeting with a long time friend. I build the relationship by bringing humor, compassion, and my authentic self to each session. By building a strong therapeutic relationship, I create the foundation for my clients to safely navigate anxiety, grief, relationship issues, depression, trauma, and life transitions.

I believe the relationship you build with yourself is the most important one. I work to foster self-love, build confidence, and improve resilience in my clients to navigate through life’s challenges. I explore past and present experiences to promote an understanding of how our past experiences continue to influence our current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work from a Person-Centered, Strengths Based, and Cognitive Behavioral Approach utilizing other modalities such as Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy when applicable. I have a special place in my heart for walk & talk therapy - a comforting alternative for those who have difficulty opening up in a traditional therapy setting. Walk and talk therapy allows my clients to receive all of the benefits of a typical therapy session while decreasing anxiety, improving the mind-body connection, and promoting relaxation.

My education began at Iowa State University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and afterwards received my Master of Arts in Counseling & Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate supervised by Katelyn Williams LPC-S. In addition to my continued work with children, adolescents, adults, couples & families - I also have a passion working with those with eating disorders, those with special needs & their families, and those that are twice exceptional (2E). I look forward to continuing learning and growing as I help children, adolescents, adults, and families through life’s ever-changing path.

I know finding the right therapist for you can be an overwhelming process - whether this is your first time going to therapy or you have done it for years, I’m so glad you ended up finding me. I am happy for us to schedule a free 15-minute consultation for us to get to know each other to explore your desires for therapy & see if we would be a great fit!
